I would probably not have picked out this book out of hundreds in a bookstore. To be honest, I'm not crazy about the title--it makes it sound a little boring and very average--and the cover is definitely not the best picture out of the entire book. A friend brought it to work for me to flip through and it's about to join its mates on my bookshelf very shortly. The photos are lovely and, even though some of the interiors are a little out there and you may sometimes feel like you need a few million dollars to create anything similar in your own home, it is a very inspiring book for those who one day wish to purchase a home, destroy it a bit and built it from scratch to turn it into a dream house for your family. The step-by-step guide of what the couple has done to all the homes they have flipped in the past decade, advice for contracting, budget, decorating ideas and functional, real-life solutions is well worth the small price of the book. Every page is filled with inspirational quotes and stories that make you feel dangerously empowered, almost like you could start building a house tomorrow!
