Dining Room Gallery

When it comes to choosing wall colours, I have to admit that I often find myself a little clueless. Some decorators are able to create the perfect combination of five different tones of grey and I admire that, as I shamefully stuck to one wall colour for our living and dining area. I am a little afraid of making mistakes with mixing and matching colour and, true to my very amateur state as a decorator, I choose the basics and steer away from anything remotely bold and fun.  I somehow feel that choosing a certain colour for your wall must come at the expense of accessorizing with bright pillows, chairs and other additions.  This particular collection of images for dining rooms started with the goal of helping my mother find the right shades of yellow for her kitchen and dining room area but, as it turns out, I am having difficulty finding inspiration for colourful rooms! Perhaps I am not the only one afraid of brighter hues...I have not given up the battle though, and am determined to learn how to be a little more adventurous at the paint store.  In the meantime, I figured that a few photos of classy dining rooms would be a good start.
